Richard McColum, of Bryn Athyn, PA has a background in graphic arts. Working in the printing and publishing business for over twenty years. After climbing the corporate ladder to running a shop with eight employees, he took a giant leap into a new venture and began working with Jonathan Simmons making spoons and went out on his own in 1992 and has been designing and making spoons and kitchen utensils for the past six years.

McCollum's work has been featured in several publications, including Woodshop News on numerous occasions. Currently his work is featured in March, 1998 issue of HOME MAGAZINE, which he was also featured in October, 1994. His work has also been chosen to participate in some of the finest shows in the nation.
