Rick Robinson

Rick was born in Porchester, NY. After travelling extensively and living in several East Coast states, he settled in Schenectady with his family. Rick's woodworking began as a hobby in 1974, but as his ideas and love of woodworking flourished, it became a full time business. The evolution of the fine wood products he creates reflect his varied experience.

Rick strives to combine the goals of functionality with art. He continues to experiment with oil & stain finishes that enhance the natural lustre and beauty of the domestic and exotic woods he uses. Rick's goal is to provide functional art that is affordable and of the highest quality to last a lifetime.

Rick has participated in juried craft shows since 1978, winning a number of "Best of Show" awards. Rick enjoys the opportunity to stay attuned to features customers seek in a jewelry chest through this direct contact.
