Cricket Luker, President of Wildflowers by Cricket, is pleased to announce her merger with Ron Goeke, renowned sculptor/designer of exquisitely detailed, handcrafted tiles. For Cricket and Ron, the art of creating nature inspired tiles follows two distinct paths. Cricket uses a printmaking process to press wildflowers and shells into clay. Each piece is painted to match the muted shades of color found in nature. Ron's work has become popular in the design and home construction market, which has seen a recent resurgence in custom art tiles and tile murals. He begins a bas relief tile by sculpting it in clay, then refining the piece in a plaster block where the fine detail is carved. The three dimensional quality of bas relief tiles are shown in full effect. Then the framing process allows the tiles to be grouped into murals of various shapes and sizes with coordinated custom mats and elegant frames. Each framed tile mural is considered a work of art, with careful symmetry and balance of color."We offer a beautiful custom way to accessorize your home," says Cricket. By merging the tile and garden accessory business into one, the
studio offers a wide range of nature inspired art for the home and garden at prices to suit many different needs. All orders are backed up with a high level of customer service. The Luker/Goeke Studio features many unique pieces in their new Outdoor Garden Line - garden plaques, fountains, and stepping stones.
