I immigrated to the U.S. from Berlin as a professor of German Literature. Now my family and I live on 55 beautiful acres in Trumansburg, on the west side of Cayuga Lake in Central New York. I raise sheep and bees, and use the trees that grow on my land to create my special toys.
My designs are known in both the Old and the New World. They are part of the permanent collection of the Toy Museum in Nuremberg, Germany, and the Hartsville Museum in Hartsville, NY. My toys have been displayed in the "Toys for all Ages" show at the Smithsonian, and in the American Craft Museum. Pictures of my designs have been published in "Fine Woodworking Design Books," and "The Woodworker's Journal." You can find my pieces in craft stores and galleries throughout the United States and Canada.
