Our jewelry business began many years ago. Jim and I had been transferred from Michigan to North Carolina. We were on a weekend trip to the mountains where we discovered we could go gem mining. This started my interest in stones and gems. Having a teaching degree, I am always interested in learning, so I started taking courses in jewelry design. I really like the technique of wire weaving, where gold wire is used to hand create pieces of jewerlry using no forms or molds. Watching me practice my wire weaving got the interest of my husband. Jim's background is design engineering, so he was able to use his draftsmen techniques to create the patterns for our bracelets. Our local Art Guild was having a show at a mall, so I took aobut 10 bracelets and sold all of them the first day. I was so excited to know that people really liked our work. What started out as a part time hobby has now grown into a full time business.
Jim and I do all the designing and crafting ourselves. I love working with the different stones combining colors and shapes while Jim does all the physical hand weaving. (I let him get the callouses on his hands). We have our gold wire specially made to our specifications by a dental wire company. All of our pearls and stone beads we hand pick directly from the importers in New York City.
Our bi-wa pearl bracelets are crafted from the most beautiful pearls we can find. Pearls are always a wonderful gift for many occasions.
We are pleased and proud to offer our hand crafted bracelets and we know you will always receive many compliments when you wear them.
