The New Jersey Area
There are Universities to visit: Princeton is about 15 miles from the show. Great town and campus to stroll through - good restaurants as well. Visit Rutgers University, just off Easton Avenue in New Brunswick - plus many other quaint towns in the area: Lambertville; Flemington; Stockton; Frenchtown.

In Somerset, there's Colonial Park on Amwell Road with rose garden, jogging paths, and a pond.

New York City
New York City, is a 45 minute (maximum) drive from Somerset, NJ. Here's a listing of some of the tours available through Gray Line:

Also tours of the Statue of Liberty; tours of Ellis Island; Harbor Cruises; tours of historic Harlem; West Point Day Trips; day trips to Hyde Park; day trips to Sleepy Hollow, which include a cruise up the Hudson River.
