I have been involved in photography since grade school when my parents gave me my first simple camera.
My interest and love for nature began almost as soon as I could walk and was fostered by both my mother's interest and knowledge of nature and the many fishing and hunting trips to the field with my father.
Since that time, I have replaced rod and gun with a camera and have been very interested in preservation and protection of the environment.
Through my photography I hope to convey to others the feelings that I have for the natural world and all those things that live in it. Hopefully, as a result of my photography, others will feel an urgent need to protect all that is natural and wild.
The techniques used in my photographic process or rather standard and conservative techniques. I attempt to portray my subjects as naturally as possible and yield an image that will not only be technically correct but also retain the visual impact of the point and time that I was actually making the photograph.
The photographic techniques employed are mainly self-taught, however I have attended several workshops and seminars in order to refine the techniques used. This process has taken place over the last 20 to 30 years.
