Brenda Harris Tustian was formally educated in fine art at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and later concentrated on watercolor painting with instruction under Claude Croney in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Brenda has since studied with a succession of distinguished artists and teachers in the United States, including Edgar Whitney, Rudy de Reyna, Tony Couch, and Zoltan Szabo. She has been a full-time professional artist for 20 years.
Extensive participation in regional and national shows has led to a wide following and many awards. In 1996 Brenda's work was chosen as the official posters for both the Atlanta Dogwood Festival and the Atlanta Garden and Patio Show. She was a featured artist in the 1999 Winter issue of Watercolor Magic magazine.
Brenda lives on a lovely farm in the North Georgia mountains. Surrounded by perennial gardens, tranquil lakes, a water garden and beautiful countryside, Brenda finds much inspiration for her luminous watercolors.
